Guy LaCesa, CIC
Guy LaCesa purchased the agency from Arndt & Company Insurance in downtown Portland on April 1, 1985, and changed the name in 1988 to Oak Tree Insurance. Guy got his start in the insurance field as the District Sales Manager for Allstate in 1968. In addition to being licensed in Oregon, Guy also holds current licenses in California, Colorado, Nevada and Washington State.
Steve LaCesa, CIC, LUTCF
Steve LaCesa, Executive Vice President, has been in the industry for 22 years, the past 19 with Oak Tree. A Certified Insurance Counselor, Steve is a member of the Life Underwriters Training Council, and a current board member of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Oregon. Specializing in Business, Benefits and High End Personal coverage, Steve is both a licensed insurance agent and consultant.
Mike Walter, CIC
Mike Walter started his insurance career at Oak Tree Insurance in 1997, after spending 11 years as a player in the NFL. As part of the Oak Tree Insurance team, Mike works with his commercial and personal line clients providing solutions for their risk needs.
Koko Hunt
A graduate of Lewis & Clark College, Koko Hunt is very familiar with the local community. He has worked in the insurance and financial planning field since 2000, coming to Oak Tree in July 2002. Koko provides several valuable services to clients, including wealth management, estate planning and tax planning.
Kelly Atwood, CISC
A local, long-time resident of Lake Oswego, Kelly Atwood has over 39 years of insurance experience providing commercial insurance for the broad business marketplace. He focuses on finding solutions to the unique insurance needs of the construction industry, and helps clients manage risk. Kelly is a Certified Insurance Specialist Construction (CISC) with expertise in general liability, property, tool and equipment coverage, workers compensation insurance and all aspects of bonding. Combining Kelly’s knowledge and Oak Tree Insurance resources gives clients access to a variety of insurance coverages from some of the country’s most reputable insurers.
Peggy Planton
Peggy Planton has been with Oak Tree Insurance since September 2002, and in the employee benefits arena for over 28 years. She worked for a local health insurance company for 20 years, providing medical, dental, vision and disability products to group and individual clients.
Peter Nielsen
As part of the Oak Tree team, Peter Nielsen has over 29 years of brokerage experience providing expertise in insurance program design and risk management oversight for all areas of commercial insurance. He specializes in providing coverage for architects, engineers, law professionals, real estate owners (including those with environmental issues), manufacturers, retail and wholesale operations, hospitality, and residential and commercial property development companies. Peter also has unique knowledge of construction project practices, bankruptcy insurance solutions and Structured Insurance Alternative Risk programs.
Al Ochosa
Al Ochosa brings 13 years of commercial insurance and risk management experience encompassing a variety of industries including auto, construction, hospitality, public livery, retail, wholesale and professional services operations. His focus is on the insurance needs of businesses, associations, affinity groups and individuals. Together with the staff at Oak Tree Insurance, Al provides personal and commercial coverage in a number of states including but not limited to Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, and Alaska.

Connor Miller, a graduate of the University of Oregon and Safeco Commercial Producer Education Program, focuses on commercial lines managing property, casualty, life and health coverage for new and existing customers.
